4 Money Saving Tips When Visiting Denver

I've been to Denver twice now. Why? I've thought about moving there but I'm still undecided. But if you plan on visiting soon, make sure you read this before you go.

1. Don't Uber/Lyft from the airport.

Like my Seattle blog post, there's an easier way to get downtown. You can take the airport rail that will take you to Denver Union Station in approximately 37 minutes. I had to learn the hard way after paying almost $40 for a Lyft.

2. Take the FREE bus.

Right next to Union Station, you can take the MallRide, which will take you through Downtown Denver. You'll be able to see all the restaurants, shops, tourist attractions and more. I took it to avoid the long walk to my hostel.

3. Stay at this hostel, if you want.

I stayed here because I like to travel on a budget and it's close to the bars and clubs. Besides that, the 11th Avenue Hostel is clean, safe, and friendly. If you travel solo then it works out perfectly.

4. Watch some futbol.

Even if you're not a fan of the sport, the people make the game fun. So if you're looking for something to do, check out the Colorado Rapids. Tickets aren't expensive so you'll have enough money for food and drinks.
